Passionate about genealogy since adolescence, the author of this book has been active with his local genealogical society: the Société de généalogie de l’Outaouais. He was awarded a Heritage recognition from the City of Gatineau (2009) and a medal of honour from Quebec’s genealogical society Federation (2010). The main articles he has written have been published in L’Outaouais généalogique. He studied history at the University of Ottawa and obtained a certificate in archival science at Laval University. His talents now benefit the City of Gatineau where he is a record management analyst.
